The compact Teledyne Q-Liteâ„¢ Rugged Modem is an IP65 weatherproof outdoor satellite modem that is ideal for portable communications and comms-on-the-move. The Teledyne Q-Lite Rugged Outdoor Modem incorporates Teledyne’s industrial temperature grade Q-Liteâ„¢ modem card, it is suitable for all types of IP services including broadcast video, trunking, backhaul and internet. The Teledyne Q-Lite Rugged Outdoor Modem is fully compatible with Teledyne’s Q-Flexâ„¢ and Q-MultiFlexâ„¢ modems for point-to-point and point-to-multipoint respectively.
The Teledyne Q-Lite Rugged Outdoor Modem supports Teledyne’s Paired Carrier+â„¢ that overlays transmit and receive carriers, reducing the required satellite band-width by 50%. DVB-S2X, is between 20% and 60% more band-width efficient than its predecessor, DVB-S2.
Bandwidth-saving IP features include ACM, acceleration and header and payload compression.
