S Band & X Band Simultaneous Dual Polarity Receive Only Feedhorn

Description

Our S Band & X Band Simultaneous Dual Polarity Receive Only Feedhorn is designed for either Prime-Focus or Compact Cassegrain configured reflectors. The S Band & X Band Simultaneous Dual Polarity Receive Only Feedhorn can receive both S and X band simultaneously and can be used in either cross polarisation or co-polarisation systems.

This feedhorn is configured for both bands to be circularly polarised, however a linear configuration is also available. Additional downconverters (LNBs) can be supplied to downconvert S and/or X band to L band for simple integration into existing L band baseband architectures.

Our S Band & X Band Simultaneous Dual Polarity Receive Only Feedhorn utilises 4 probes that are connected with a phasing harness to beam form the desired polarisation. The advantage of this design is that it enables a configuration to support simultaneous circular and linear signal reception (RHCP/LHCP|Horizontal/Vertical). We can also supply a septum feed design for single band operations that provides circularly polarised RHCP and LHCP directly from the two ports on the feedhorn.

Av-Comm also offer a Tx/Rx capable version of this feedhorn where the S-Band section can support power levels in excess of 100 Watts and X-Band section can support power levels in excess of 1 kW.
