Description

The PBI DCH-3200P Professional VAST Satellite Decoder is a professional rack mounted satellite receiver designed to receive and decode the Australian Viewer Access Satellite Television (VAST) platform broadcast from the Optus 10 satellite located at 156E.

The PBI DCH-3200P Professional VAST Satellite Decoder has a single DVB-S/S2 satellite tuner which receives the satellite signal and passes the digital transport stream to the internal Conditional Access Interface. The additional of a Single Service VAST CAM & Smartcard allows the transport stream to be routed through the CAM/Smartcard and decrypted. The decrypted signal can then be decoded and outputted via a variety of interfaces including, CVBS, HDMI, ASI, *TS/IP, or for radio or audio only services, Balanced Audio (XLR) and Unbalanced Audio (RCA).

The PBI DCH-3200P Professional VAST Satellite Decoder provides the user with a web GUI for setup and configuration and also supports Simple Network Monitoring Protocol (SNMP) for remote monitoring via a Network Monitoring System (NMS).

Av-Comm supplied PBI DCH-3200P Professional VAST Satellite Decoders come with a special version of firmware that we have developed in conjunction with PBI and multiple customers in Australia to ensure the decoder returns to the same and channel and audio level after experiencing a power, solar, or rain outage. This firmware has been developed to eliminate lengthy drives to remote broadcast sites to reboot or reprogram other VAST decoders. We have over 100 x PBI 3200 Professional Satellite Decoders deployed in the field and active.
