Elliptical waveguides are the recommended transmission lines for microwave systems operating between 1.7 GHz and 23.6 GHz, with an elliptical cross section ideal for minimizing VSWR and eliminating signal distortion. Optimized for the lowest loss in significant user bands, with significantly lower attenuation than standard rectangular waveguide, which provides efficient signal transfer and optimum system performance.
We offer an additional test & calibration service whereby our technical team can provide sweep testing of cables and waveguide to measure and document specific performance data for each assembly. We also recommend all cable and waveguide assemblies are temperature cycled; this normalises any dielectric and gasket seating ensuring optimum performance and overall stability of the assembly.
