A C band LNA is used to amplify C Band satellite downlinks in the frequency range of 3.4 – 4.2 GHz without frequency conversion. The input and output of the LNA are the same frequency with the LNA providing very low noise amplification and signal processing. C Band LNAs are typically used in large VSAT antenna transmission systems. To convert the C Band frequency block to L Band 950-1450MHz a Block Downconverter is used or if only a specific transponder is required to be down-converted a Frequency Converter is used.
