Av-Comm’s Commitment to Youth STEM Pathways
Av-Comm has been working hard to usher in the new generation of Space Engineers. Our graduate program, along with our newly founded Space Tradies initiative, has seen the transfer of knowledge and skills from all areas of the business. Under their respective mentors, each of our Young Professionals have been working hard to develop their understanding of sovereign satcom solutions, providing valuable insights into the perspectives of young people in the industry. Â
Over the next 5 years, Av-Comm plans to grow and expand these programs to help support and encourage young people from a diverse variety of backgrounds to become involved in Australia’s sovereign space industry. In particular, Av-Comm’s Space Tradie program aims to provide junior members who are enthusiastic about STEM, an apprenticeship and formal Vocational Education and Training, contributing to a more inclusive and enriched space industry.Â
Av-Comm believes in the importance of opening up STEM pathways for everyone and hopes to see our programs flourish in the coming years.
