The PBI DCH-3200P Professional VAST Satellite Decoder is a professional rack mounted satellite receiver designed to receive and decode the Australian Viewer Access Satellite Television (VAST) platform broadcast from the Optus 10 satellite located at 156E.
9.2m Ka Band Satellite Ground Station Relocation Wrap Up
Last year Av-Comm’s Field Team began the relocation of a 9.2m Ka Band CPI Vertex Earth Station Antenna from Telstra’s Gnangara earth station in Perth to the SES-managed Sintra Teleport Facility in Portugal. The team decommissioned, packed, and shipped the antenna, and will handle its installation, RF system upgrades, and maintenance upon arrival.
The 9.2m Ka Band has now been re-installed and commissioned in Sintra, Portugal. The photogrammetry alignment test was successfully conducted utilising our Av-Comm photogrammetry kit, it’s exciting to see the CPI Vertex Antenna is now fully operational, once again.
Space Symposium: gaining insight into the US Space Industry
From April 7th-10th, Av-Comm Space & Defence had the privilege of attending the Space Foundation’s 40th Space Symposium, held in Colorado Springs. Director of Business Relations, Evan Kirk, and Ground Segment Advisor and Marketing Manager, Hannah Baldwin, sat down to discuss the event and reflect on the impact that this period of global political instability is having on the space industry.
